Analysis Paper

Write an analysis paper on a poem or song lyrics of your choosing.  

1. You can choose any poem (Poetry Foundation is a good place to look). 
2. Be sure to mention the poet's name and the title of the poem at the beginning of your essay and refer back to them both throughout the essay.
   
3. Your essay can focus on one or more of the following:  
   1. Theme
   2. Symbolism
   3. Poet's purpose
   4. Figurative Language 
   5. Mood and/or Tone
4. Your essay will need to be formatted using:
    
   1. Times-New Roman Font
   2. Font Size: 12 pt.
   3. Double-spaced 
   4. MLA Heading 
   5. Indented paragraphs 
   6. 1.5 or more pages long(intro paragraph, 2 or more analysis paragraphs, and a conclusion)
