American History (Response Needed in 1 paragraph or less)
The New England colonies were often settled by people that had aspirations in Government, or academics. The New England colonies were also the settling points for those who wished to establish their religious freedom, with the wild fire of Protestant faiths arising.Farming was often insubstantial in this area of colonies. Second, the Middle colonies were know for their production of tobacco, and the subsequent wealth that arose from this. The middle colonies had more farmland then the New England colonies, so their usage of slave labor was less, but still not to the level of the South. This set of colonies were not as cohesive as the New England colonies, not having a centralized faith system in place. Last, the Southern colonies were the agriculture back bone of the region. With its rich, fertile soil it had numerous cash crops being produced. With this large scale operation the Southern colonies used the largest amount of slave labor, and was home to ifs most trafficked slave port of Charleston. The South also had no definitive faith system installed making it popular with upstart faiths to take hold.
If i were a Colonist living in these days I can say without a doubt that i would of been located in the New England colonies. I would be there because it would of been the most effective location to battle the horror that is slavery, and its rampant usage in the colonies. Located in the New England colonies you could find sympathetic ears to this cause that were not directly benefited by slavery to try and abolish the horror earlier than 1865.
