The real world application of this class can be applied in a few different aspect. Fist off, covering so much history has opened me up to much more meaningful discussions  about the US and our history. I personally have been able to put a better understanding why my grandparents still have a stock pile of dry goods in their basement. I had an idea why they did this and now I have a much better understanding of why they do this because of what they went through. Also to have a more open opinion about both side of history. I was always more one sided and never gave much look to why or how things were different and different cultures may of been affected buy their past.
