What were the causes of the French and Indian War?  What were the advantages and disadvantages possessed by both the English and the French?

It's ironic how when the British first landed they betrayed and mass murdered the Native Americans.  After they saw that the French was stronger with the Native Americans as their allies, they tried to mend that burnt bridge.  That hatred can still be felt today between the white man and the Natives.
