The government's policy in dealing with Early Americans changed somewhat over the years, although the outcome often meant death for the Indian nation, regardless of policy.

Considering the Indian Wars, and the government's views (including the Dawes Act), reflect on the following: discuss the government's views and motivations in forcing natives to change both their georgaphical locations as well as their ways of life. Why should Indian nations comply?
