 Many modern presidents have experienced an interesting dynamic – the longer they are in office, the less support they receive from the public. What factors might contribute to this tendency (hint: double expectations gap)?  What forces and events and might counter this race to lower approval ratings?  If presidents are weak (lack the power to meet expectations), what is the remedy?
