American Companies moving Jobs Overseas

Read the following directions and post an answer of at least two paragraphs (a minimum of 500 words). Assignment:

Attached are two articles that deal with how American companies continue to eliminate jobsand/or move oversees in order to remain competitive.  Please read the articles that examine the ever changing nature of the US and world economy.

Discussion questions:

1) How can American companies, with such high labor costs compete with other companies located in areas like Mexico or India? 

2) Should the United States put policies into place (including tax rates) to help protect American jobs or is this simply the reality of a global world economy?
