The scenario is that I am a mutual fund manager looking for new companies to invest in and I have asked you to help in evaluating companies for potential stock purchase.

Choose one company from the Standard and Poor’s 500 list http://www.stockmarketsreview.com/companies_sp500/

and write a two to three page paper in APA format providing the following information. A good source for information is Yahoo Finance http://finance.yahoo.com (just type the company’s stock symbol in the quote box) or the company website.

1. Their major competitors
2. An overview of their financial health. You may choose to include some financial ratios here if you wish.
