Week 6: AI Transparency and Corporate Responsibility Assignment

Assignment Overview

Businesses increasingly rely on artificial intelligence (AI) to inform decisions that affect employees, customers, and the public. This assignment examines the legal, political, and ethical responsibilities organizations have to be transparent about their use of AI and to communicate that use in a manner that is accurate, accountable, and trustworthy.

Assignment Instructions

1. Review the Week 6 Lesson, focusing on Corporate Responsibility and AI Transparency

2. Using an AI tool (such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, Microsoft’s Copilot or Anthropic’s Claude), generate a brief AI transparency or ethics statement (300–400 words) for a business of your choice.

3. Review the AI-generated statement and identify at least two weaknesses, such as vague language, missing disclosures, or ethical or legal risks.

4. Revise the statement to clearly explain how AI is used, define human oversight and accountability, and reflect realistic ethical commitments.

Deliverable

Submit a single document that includes:

· The original AI-generated transparency statement

· A brief critique (1–2 paragraphs)

· The revised transparency statement

AI Usage

· AI should only be used only to generate the initial draft. You are responsible for all analysis, evaluation, and revisions in the final submission.

· Be sure to include a citation to the AI tool used. Citation information can be found here: https://libguides.devry.edu/studentAILinks to an external site.
