Graaf and Wann claim that the high many feel when shopping is but one part of the “addiction to stuff.” The other part has to do with us “building personal fortresses” out of our stuff. Even when we do this, though, we are never satisfied. Why don’t those addicted to stuff ever have enough and what is the “law of diminishing utility”? (pg. 25)
