Advocacy Letter

You will write a concise professionally worded letter to one of your legislators (city, county, state or federal) about a current tobacco control policy issue that is important to you and how the public’s health may be improved by legal, regulatory or other policy actions from the State or other local government. In the letter you must 1) describe the issue using strong scientific evidence from research or other reputable data sources, 2) explain the industries position, responsibility or negligence on the issue, and 3) identify specific bills/propositions in the works or propose policy action.

Any legislator in the state of Maryland

Format: 1-2 pages, single-spaced, 12 pt. Times, Arial or Calibri font, 1-inch margins, APA style references
