Advanced Air Quality Control
Do you think government regulations and air quality treaties are having an impact on the rate of climate change? Why? Do you think it is possible for us to reverse some of the effects of air pollution?

Air quality treaties have been successful in reducing the amount of air pollution countries are allowed to release into the atmosphere. Current regulation have forced many facilities into finding ways to reduce emissions. If these regulations were not in place more air pollutants would be being released. With this being said, I do believe that government regulations and air treaties have an impact on the rate of climate change. If current regulations were not in place more pollutants would be released. As a result, the rate of climate change would be heightened. However, not all countries take place in these regulations. Countries that do have regulations in place are still producing large amounts of air pollution. Even with regulations in place, air pollutant levels are rising, and they will still lead to climate change. Natural climate change is also occurring. The Earth appears to be in a warming trend. This will result in climate change no matter what we do to reduce anthropogenic sources. Between anthropogenic and natural air pollution sources it would be very difficult to reverse the effects of air pollution. In all practicality, I feel like slowing human-caused air pollution should be the focus of air quality regulations and treaties.
