A Movie Analysis essay

Length: 4-5 pages (1,000-1,250 words), plus a Works Cited. 

Sources: A primary text source (a short story, novel, video, movie, TV show, song/album, advertisement, speech, painting or other artwork, game, or sport (should be a particular game/match or maybe player) AND secondary sources. These secondary sources may provide context information and/or offer critical support. 

Audience: You have some choice here. Your audience may be new to the subject or understand it well. Be sure you keep them in mind and make considered choices. Do remember that part of your audience is this class so don't close us out with unexplained technical jargon, etc. 

Description: Your task is to analyze your subject, develop an insight about it, and share that insight. Support your claim with specific evidence from the primary text and include secondary sources for further illumination. 

Consider asking: What does this mean? How does it work? Who is it for and why?
