Chapter 12 The Endgame, or Putting it All Together. After reading chapter 12 and watching the lectures, you're ready to participate in this week’s discussion.

For this week’s discussion assignment, first find a use case for a Data Science project. This reference does NOT (and probably should not) be a peer reviewed resource. I want to see what you can find in today’s news. It also does NOT have to be a formal use case. I want to see something that you find interesting. It can be as simple as a recent new article. For this discussion, pretty much any source is fair game. Once you have identified an interesting use case, describe the use case, how Data Science analysis can be used to meet some goal, and discuss why a Data Scientist could provide value over traditional methods. This should be an informed opinion piece. DO NOT turn this into a dry research paper with lots of references at the end. I want to see what YOU have learned this semester. Pick something that interests you and talk about how Data Science can make a difference. I will grade you on how well you simply discuss your chosen topic in this context.  

You must do the following:

1. Create a new thread. As indicated above, find a use case for a Data Science project. Then describe the use case, how Data Science analysis can be used to meet some goal, and discuss why a Data Scientist could provide value over traditional methods. MAKE SURE THAT YOU READ THE NARRATIVE ABOVE.
2. Select AT LEAST 3 other students' threads and post substantive comments on those threads. Your comments should extend the conversation started with the thread.
