1. Pick an article from the book (one you haven’t used yet) or from an outside source
2. Analyze the way the author constructs his/her argument and the strategies used to try to persuade the reader. (For instance: appeals to logic, appeals to emotion, diction and syntax, vocabulary, statistics, metaphor, references, etc.) Analyze any flaws in the argument as well. Was this author successful in making a powerful argument? (This essay is not about whether you agree with the author or not)

Remember to include a works cited page, even though it will only be one item long.
