An essential part of an early learner’s success is the involvement of the family. However, there are instances when families cannot reinforce the concepts learned in class. Describe at least two strategies you can use as a teacher to improve the math literacy of the families who struggle to support the early learner? How can you show the families compassion and support?

2. In many instances, teachers need to identify opportunities to proactively solicit feedback from the family of early learners in order to support the child’s educational experiences. How can you collaborate with the family of your early learners to design math activities that are engaging, practical, and can be done at home?
