Reflection on Temperament and Attachment In this course, journals will be used to reflect on the learning objectives for the course and how they relate to your development as a professional. The journal assignments provide an opportunity to connect the readings and professional practices to your own personal and professional experiences. Journal assignments in this course are private between you and the instructor.

Prompt

Utilizing the concepts of temperament and attachment, reflect on your own experiences as a child, those of a child you know, or those of a fictional child featured in media (book, film, television, etc.).

• Select temperament and attachment theory concepts and describe them. Consider the three types of child temperament classification (easy, difficult, and slow-to-warm-up) and the Ainsworth attachment styles for this assignment.
• Provide an application of the concepts to your chosen example. Include a rationale for how the child you selected exhibits the selected concepts. 
• Assess the utility of these concepts to prevent, evaluate, or assess behavioral problems that children may present during development.

What to Submit

Submit assignment as a Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Journal assignments must follow APA Style citations, and word count must be a minimum of 350 to a maximum of 750 words.
