In small groups, use the Genre Toolkit to identify your article’s type, audience, purpose. Then summarize or paraphrase the main ideas and concepts in your article. Once that is done take some time to “look at the bigger picture” (<-American idiom) and see if you can’t make some connections between your article and “The Parachute Generation,” and connections between any of the articles and your own experience as an International student in America thus far.
