Write a  5 page paper discussing the various initiatives we have covered in class (Value Based, MIPS and APM)   Make sure that you cover the following elements in your paper:

1. Define the basics of the three initiatives.

2. How will Value Based payments factor into the MIPS and APM programs?

3. What are the barriers to implementation of MIPS and APM?

4. What recommendations would you have for a physician who must choose from participating in MIPS or APM?

5. Write a closing paragraph discussing whether you think value based programs are helpful in reducing healthcare costs.

6. Your resources must be within the last 4 years and must be from scholarly resources (i.e. the library and professional journals.)
