You have been asked to design activities using developmentally appropriate children's books that address local, global, international, and intercultural problems.
Select 8-10 children's books around a learning topic that will help students to understand local and/or global problems (conflict resolution, global warming, pollution, poverty, etc.).
- Include books for children birth to grade 3 from different genres and multicultural and international literature.
- Explain why each of the books is age-appropriate.
- Justify how the book selection supports children's language, intellectual, and social-moral development.
- Include at least one book extension for an early childhood classroom to further language development.
Length: 4-6 pages, not including title and reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 8-10 resources.
