The first RUA due this week is an individual assignment but is based on group PICOT question. EACH student uses their two primary research studies, that answer all parts of the group question, and that have been shared with the group in the Canvas group discussion to avoid duplications. NO duplicate studies-you will lose points if two students have the same studies. You will lose points if the two articles chosen are not primary research. You will lose points if they are AI generated. 1. Use the PICOT worksheet provided and began in Module 2 to help in finding 2 research studies and for the details of this paper. 2. Use the Checklist for Finding Research Studies located in Module 2 Welcome Announcement. As you search for studies use the list to determine if they are appropriate for your papers. Points will be lost if the studies are not appropriate, do not meet the requirements, or duplicate studies of other students. 3. By Monday of Week 3 all group members should share two unique studies being considered for your paper, and contribution to the group project, that meet all requirements. Put these in the group Canvas Discussion for the group to see and help verify no duplicates. Please work together to assure Primary research studies and no duplicates. Anyone without two unique studies posted in the Canvas group discussion, or that do not meet the requirements on the checklist will lose participation points. Points are lost in the papers and the group project for any studies that do not meet requirements. Check your group’s work 4. IF any group members choose the same study, the last person to share it will need to find another study. NO DUPLICATE studies are allowed (You will need all 10-12 studies for the group project). You will lose points. 5. Download the PDF of your two studies-you will need to upload these with your papers and projects in Weeks 3, 5, and 6. 6. As soon as all group members post their studies and no duplicates are detected by the group, and group members confirm that all studies posted meet requirements, members should be working individually to complete RUA Topic Search Strategy Paper due Sunday of Week 3. This is an individual assignment completely separately by each group member, using their two studies. Any duplication of studies will result in a point deduction. 7. Complete the RUA Week 3 assignment using the NR449 Week 3 RUA APA Template Update.docx provided in Week 3 Welcome Announcement, and the rubric and guidelines. The final paper must meet the requirements in the Rubric and guidelines. ALL group members must use the same group picot question.

Clinical Question
This section will discuss your Clinical Question. Be sure to talk about these following rubric criteria below. Please refer to the rubric for the most up to date list of criteria. (This list is numbered but they should not be numbered in your paper-use paragraphs to describe or discuss each criteria.)
1. Describe the problem. What is the focus of your group’s work?
2. Explain the significance of the problem in terms of patient outcomes. What health outcomes result from your problem? Or what statistics document this is a problem? You may find support from government or professional organizations (these are not scholarly but are considered reliable for statistics and specific details about diseases).
3. PICOT question in support of the group topic.
4. State the purpose of your paper. What will your paper do or describe? This is similar
to a problem statement. “The purpose of this paper is to . . .” Be sure to include the purpose statement in all papers.
Levels of Evidence
In this section discuss your Clinical Question and the Evidence that would be used to answer the question. Be sure address all the rubric criteria.
1. Identify the type of question being asked (therapy, prognosis, meaning, etc.).
2. What is the best type of evidence to answer that question (e.g., RCT, cohort study, qualitative study, etc.)?
Search Strategy
In this section you will discuss how you found two relevant articles to support your discussion on your groups clinical question. You do not need to discuss the articles, but you do need to briefly talk about why you chose each, cite it to identify it. USE APA, not article titles. This is a discussion of your search strategy. Refer to the rubric to be sure you include all criteria, including these:
1. List search terms and results.
2. Databases used (start with the CU library). Link your search with the PICOT question described above.
3. Refinement decisions. As you did your search, what decisions did you make to refine the results and find two required articles down from thousands reviewed? Were any limits used? If so, what?
4. Identification of two (2) most relevant articles (primary sources published within the last 5 years). Briefly describe them and why you chose them-be sure to include citations using APA for in text citations.
Conclusion
Papers should end with a conclusion or summary. It should be concise and contain no new information. No matter how much space remains on the page, the references always start on a separate page (insert a page break after the conclusion so that the references will start on a new page).
