As you reflect upon the various statistical analyses you conducted in this course, you may or may not have decided upon an appropriate type of analysis for your dissertation research or future research projects. Hopefully by now you have decided upon a dissertation topic. If not, spend some time considering areas of research that hold a particular interest to you in which you can contribute to positive social change.

As you continue to consider your dissertation, you might want to think about additional analysis that might be appropriate for your research. It is always essential that a researcher consider the most appropriate and effective method of analysis to yield valid and reliable results.

For this Discussion, review on multivariate analysis, particularly the sections on MANOVA and structural equation modeling (SEM). These are additional methods of analysis in which you may or may not be familiar. Consider how you might use one of these methods in your dissertation research.
