Target Audience(s)
Your Target Audience(s) section should do the following:

  1. Describe your target audience(s) using segmentation variables. These include the use of demographics, psychographics, geodemographics, geographics, behavioral segments, or other segmentation criteria. Most nonprofit organizations will have at least two target audiences: those that represent the fundraising and advocacy audience, and those that receive services or products from the organization.
  2. Describe your rationale for selecting the target market(s) that you did. State why these markets attractive to you as a marketer.
  3. Describe the market in terms of its size, anticipated growth, revenue opportunities, past performance, and so forth. Evaluate each target audience’s likelihood of success and the degree to which it is identifiable, measurable, sustainable, accessible, and reachable.

Brand Positioning Strategy
Present your brand positioning strategy and its rationale for your organization and its services and products. Provide a sample of your positioning statement. Answer the following three questions:

  1. Who is it for?
  2. What does it do?
  3. How is it different?

What image of your product within the target audience(s) are you try to create? Describe the emotional connection that you are trying to create. How does it differ from those of your competitors and competitor-substitutes? How does your positioning reflect the needs and wants of your target audience(s)? Describe the tangible or visible components you will use to communicate your brand positioning.
