Some might argue that the Gault decision sent a wake-up call to the  juvenile justice system, which went virtually unchallenged (legally  speaking) between the creation of the first court in 1899 and the  1960's. After reading the summary of the In re Gault, 387 U.S. 1 case in  Unit Readings & Resources, discuss the significance the decision  had to juvenile legal proceedings. Identify the four juvenile legal  issues the decision directly addressed and offer your opinion as to the  significance each has on a juvenile’s due process rights.
