1) Among the goals in the formation of the United States government were "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".  Some would argue that the processes of  globalization are helping us in acheiving these goals; others would argue the opposite, that they are undermining local commmunities and economies, families, and the environment?  From your research and personal experiences, which is the case and why?
