For your Module Three Short Paper, consider the following scenario. You will evaluate the expected deficits based on the injury the scenario describes and provide recommendations for the recovery process.
Jenny is a 17-year-old who was struck on the right side of her forehead with a softball during a game. The blow was hard enough to render her unconscious for nearly an hour, and she was taken to the emergency department. A brain MRI revealed encephalomalacia (softening of tissue due to damage) in the right area of the frontal lobe. In the weeks following the injury, what types of deficits might you expect, given the location of the injury? What do you think would be the recommendations for the recovery process?
Your paper should include both of the following elements:
- An evaluation of the deficits expected due to the location of the injury
- A medical recommendation for the recovery process
What to Submit
The short paper should be 2–4 pages, double-spaced, with 12-point Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins, and include citations in APA format.
