Company Name: CVS Health Corporation
Mission Statement: CVS Health CareLink+ will provide a direct-to-consumer chronic care membership that integrates linked blood pressure and glucose monitoring, virtual physician and clinician consultations, and prescription delivery via CVS Pharmacy. The idea will streamline care and enhance engagement with CVS assets.
The Intended Customer: The target market is adults aged 35 to 64 years old who have hypertension, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, or increased risk of chronic disease, and have high deductible insurance or lack access to primary care. Home care can enhance patient compliance and clinical supervision through remote patient monitoring (Tan et al., 2024). Telepharmacy also enhances access and can offer care that patients consider equal or superior to in-person services (Snoswell et al., 2025).
Opportunities in the Market: CVS can bridge services that consumers tend to access independently. According to GlobalData, CVS provides integrated health solutions across pharmacies, clinics, pharmacy benefit management, insurance, and digital apps (GlobalData, n.d.). CVS also has approximately 9,000 pharmacies and over 1,000 medical clinics, which offer physical assistance to digital care (CVS Health, 2026). CareLink+ is thus able to compete on continuity, convenience, and local access, rather than remote virtual visits.
Financial Opportunity: The project would introduce a recurring revenue and channel more prescriptions and clinic visits into CVS. CVS claimed 2025 revenue of 402.1 billion and 10.6 billion operating cash flow, whereas Yahoo Finance claimed trailing revenue of approximately 412.64 billion (CVS Health, 2026; Yahoo Finance, n.d.). With 500,000 consumers taking on a 29-month subscription, annual subscription revenue would be nearly 174 million. Since CVS can capitalize on the available apps, clinicians, and locations, cash flow would be positive after accounting for device, technology, marketing, and labor costs. The important metrics to consider are enrollment, retention, contribution margin, medication adherence, and CVS service utilization.
ERRC Framework
Eliminate
· Fragmented handoffs among virtual care, pharmacy, and clinic services by creating one coordinated pathway.
· Insurance eligibility barriers for basic monitoring through a direct consumer enrollment option.
Reduce
· Routine in person monitoring visits through connected devices and clinician review of submitted readings.
· Duplicated outreach through one CVS Health app dashboard and unified reminders.
Raise
· Medication adherence through pharmacist follow up, refill prompts, and escalation for missed therapy.
· Convenience and trust by pairing digital monitoring with local CVS Pharmacy and MinuteClinic support.
Create
· A monthly CareLink+ membership with connected monitoring tools, scheduled reviews, and personalized care guidance.
· A rules based alert pathway that routes concerning readings to appropriate virtual or in person care.
Key Value Proposition
CareLink + would help CVS shift to a chronic care relationship through convenient health touchpoints. Its value proposition comprises affordable monitoring, access to pharmacists, medication fulfillment, and local clinical support, all in a single consumer experience.

BUS 400 Milestone One Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
Presenting a new idea for a product or service in just 5 to 10 minutes brings both challenges and opportunities. The first 30 seconds are crucial. If you fail to capture the audience's attention right away, then their interest may fade, making it harder to communicate your key points and secure their buy-in. To succeed, presenters must clearly define the problem, propose a solution, and highlight the benefits of their idea. A strong, clear value proposition is essential. Without it, senior management may remain unconvinced.
Scenario
The moment is here—your opportunity to present your new project to senior management. The leadership team is attending their meeting located in another state. You have five minutes to deliver a remote pitch. Are you ready to confidently and clearly showcase the value, potential, and impact of your project? This moment is your chance to grab their attention, spark their interest, and demonstrate why your idea deserves their support.
Directions
Create an elevator pitch for your new product or service using your project outline as a guide.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
- Introduction: Introduce your product or service.
- How It Fits: Determine how the product or service fits into the overall strategic plan and mission of the company.
- Speculate if the product or service fits within the capabilities of the company based on your research from previous modules. Use resources like GlobalData Explorer, Yahoo Finance, and investor relations pages within the company’s website.
- Justification: Justify your suggestion based on the numbers.
- What will be the revenue gain?
- Speculate on a Return on Investment (ROI) that justifies the project for investors and senior management.
- Enhancing the Mission: Explain how the new product or service enhances the company’s overall mission.
- Does it project profitability?
- Support your position with information and data from the company's 10K. Use resources like GlobalData Explorer, Yahoo Finance, and investor relations pages within the company’s website.
What to Submit
To complete this project, you must submit a 1- to 3-page elevator pitch script in a Microsoft Word document using double spacing, one-inch margins, and 12-point Times New Roman font. Sources should be cited according to APA style.
