In at least 250 words, compose an initial post regarding the following prompt:

Consider the clips from Mean Girls and the related video presented in class, along with the article “High-School Confidential: Notes on Teen Movies” by David Denby, p. 364.  Denby asks, “Do genre films reflect reality? Or are they merely a set of conventions that refer to other films?” (para. 4). Write a response in which you propose your own answers to these questions, using as evidence your high school experience and specific teen films. In addition, you can consider as evidence teen-based TV programs such as Glee.
