According to the 2015 National Gang Report by the National Gang Intelligence Center, over the past two years known or suspected gang members from over 100 jurisdictions have applied for or gained employment with the U.S. military, law enforcement agencies, corrections facilities, and within the judiciary.  Employment within the U.S. military ranked as the most common.  Additionally, the FBI (2008) has estimated that the rate of gang membership in the military is 50 to 100 times that of the general population

What surprised you the most about the information in the video?  What suggestions do you have for military recruiters in stopping this disturbing trend?  Do you believe that gang membership should be a protected right that should not be considered when joining the military?
