Logan Castellano Germany proposal

Human Trafficking is something that has been an issue for many countries for many years. There are many ways this criminal organization takes it victims and turn them into slaves. They trick travelers as someone who will give them a tour but kidnap them and bring the victim into the organization. I propose a special law enforcement unit that works with other countries that fight against this system. This system is constantly adapting and finding new ways to trick people. There is shipments, airport, and Hotel, they are just examples but they are common areas. For example, if one team is stationed at an airport, they can act as bystanders and keep an eye for potential victims. If there are two teens that seem foreign from the age 18-24 then track what vehicle they get in. The person that is on the arrival platform can call the tag of the vehicle, trace who it belongs to, and if their is doubt then they can track down the vehicle from a stationed car and cameras stationed around cities. Like previously mentioned, this system is adapting to changes very quickly but this is the first step on having to prevent victims being taken.

Dear delegate of Germany, as the delegate of France we would strongly support the creation of an international agency. We and the United States have an open script regarding intelligence on Human Trafficking leaders. This dialog has helped both countries prosecute countless leaders and help countless victims. There is research from both sides that proves that this type of data sharing is highly effective in finding both traffickers and victims. In addition, we believe that the international agency should be compromised of federal agencies of all countries involved in its creation. This to not give just one sole department all the responsibility of finding perpetrators from every sector of the globe but rather just the responsibility to share the acquired information. Moreover, as the delegate of France and a neighbor to your country I must urge you to propose the ways in which Germany is willing to aid in this crisis. Just addressing the issue at hand and a sole idea and a possible deterrent does not suffice. The European Union has seen an influx of cases in the last few years and as a region we must be willing to aid one another in this crisis. There is not much more to be questioned other than the need and importance of Germanys delegation to propose economic proposals or creative solutions to this critical problem.

UN SIM1 TUNISIA

As a representative of Tunisia, my proposal to stop human trafficking is to guarantee a social identity to all individuals affected by this process and to ensure adequate protection against the struggles and hardships that take place in the country. All this is due to the serious economic crisis in Tunisia that pushes our young people to set sail in the waters of the Mediterranean, risking their own lives, also bringing "unwittingly" to the allocation of subjects belonging to terrorist groups in Europe. Basically, the pre-established destination is Italy, once reached the destination the movement take place in the various European nations. As a delegate from Tunisia, I say that the country does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking, but the government has shown high efforts that are increasing year by year to stop this movement. The Government is coordinating to provide services to make human trafficking as weak as possible, such as: implementation of formal procedures and documentation, training of Government personnel and the use of the Anti-Trafficking Law to investigate, prosecute and convict traffickers and prostitution and adequate monetary support from NGOs to make it possible to assist victims of trafficking. The 2016 Tunisian anti-trafficking law criminalized sex trafficking and labor trafficking and prescribed 10-year prison sentences and a fine of 50,000 Tunisian dinars.

RE: UN SIM1 TUNISIA

Hello I am the representative for Russia! I am so sorry to hear about the severe economic crisis that is going on in Tunisia. We completely understand what you are going through. Our country currently has 21 million people living in poverty, "the number of Russians living below the poverty line has grown by half a million since early 2018" (The Moscow Times, 2019). I am impressed by the efforts of your government on combating human trafficking and fixing the problem internally, within your country. In Russia, we have been slowly working and starting to fix our human trafficking issue internally. We are open to any new ideas, I would need to take a closer look into you Anti-Trafficking Law. I would have liked to see you discuss about what your country would do to fix the problem internationally. Like, if you would work with any other countries to combat the problem together. A proposal is in the works with a few countries involved on creating a communication system internationally. This system will entail an organization between cases internationally where human traffickers can be tracked down and arrested. I am hoping you'll take a look into that proposal and join the list of countries involved in this international communication system. We can also look into offering aid to your country.
