Please answer at least five the following questions in three to five pages (you get to choose which five), and incorporate class readings (class reading are March Book 1 and 2)and discussions into your answers.

• What specific skills have you used at your community site?

patience. because i need to take care of many little kids. they don't listen to you, they run around, this is a challenge. but i am a patient person, so i can deal with that. 

• Describe a person you've encountered in the community who made a strong impression on you, positive or negative.

a girl name is Thung, she is from 5 grades class. She gave me a positive impression.  because there are not enough teachers, so she would come to help the kids with the homework and activities after she had done her homework.

• Do you see benefits of doing community work? Why or why not?

I do. if the kids are from low-income family, but the parents need someone to take care of their children when they have to work. 

• Has your view of the population with whom you have been working changed? How?

At first, I thought the people who work at CMAA are very American style because they were born and raise in the USA, but they actually contain Western culture and Asian culture. the combination of western passion and eastern introversion is not a confliction, they can exist at the same time.

• Did anything about your community involvement surprise you? If so, what?

because the site called Chinese Mutual Aid Association, i thought my job can only serve the immigrants who are from China. but i can see the people from Vietnam and Africa, which means they really achieve their goal which helps all races family
