Watch the video “An Introduction to Ethos, Pathos and Logos” (opens in a new window) (00:04:19). Pay particular attention to how these methods are used to persuade others.

Now that you have a good idea of how ethos, pathos, and logos work, apply these concepts to a persuasive advertisement that you chose. First, watch the advertisement with the intent of analyzing how that advertisement tries to persuade you to buy the product, change your mind, etc.  Apply the ideas of ethos, pathos, and logos to that advertisement. 
Respond to the following questions:

Describe the advertisement that you chose.
Describe where you saw ethos, pathos, and/or logos in action. Use specific examples of words/images within the advertisement. (You may not see all three within the advertisement).
Describe how ethos, pathos, and/or logos were used to persuade. How effective were they in persuading you?
What does the use of ethos, pathos, and/or logos tell you about the audience for this product/service?
