The assigned chapter, “Speaking With Confidence”, describes multiple techniques that you can adopt in order to approach your speaking with more self-assuredness and calm. 

1. Select two of the techniques listed, and describe:
   
   • Why did you choose these techniques? Describe them in a sentence or two.
   • What do these techniques offer you in terms of strategies for building confidence before the speaking event? 
   • What do you hope to gain by using this technique?
   • How do you plan to use this technique in the future? Give a specific example for each one.
