Instructions

  For this lesson's assignment, you will review the network risks to cloud and remote computing. You will deliver a report on your evaluation of the technical risks, the severity of those risks, detection methods, and alerting mechanisms for AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The links in the references guide you to information about each cloud provider's security services.

You must ensure that your submission includes the following items:

1. Create a problem statement that encompasses the network risks to cloud computing. Be sure to include the threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues related to network and remote computing in your problem statement.
2. Describe the risks of moving workloads to a new data center in the cloud, for example:
   1. What protections are there to detect attacks from the Internet on the network and servers?
   2. What protections are there to detect attacks against your Web Applications?
   3. What protections are there to detect attacks against unauthorized access?
3. The organization will continue to have workloads in its terrestrial data centers (TDC). How can the organization connect its TDC with its cloud environments securely?
4. With new workloads in the cloud, how can CS Enterprises provide the same visibility for external intrusion detection and alerting
5. Access to the new cloud environments uses different authentication mechanisms. What tools and services does each cloud provider have, and how can you ensure security and identity management?

Length: 9 pages, not including title page and references.
