After being able to do a little bit more research on the topic. Especially for a guy like myself
that it’s just starting out. And I’m starting to kind of me ways as far as with these classes
now. Getting CompTIA® A+ certification Would benefit me in the long run. Especially in
the field that I am trying to get into once I am all set and done with school. Is to go ahead
and just do one of these classes before I start at school. They offer so many different trades
in these subjects to where you just go for a couple of months and then you get a certification
for it. Having that certification will allow me to pretty much do anything I want in my field.
There will be no restrictions on what I can do with my certifications. Basically, saying I can
do pretty much anywhere I want because I have the certifications. With any degree or
certification it will open up doors. With that being said it will open up opportunities to me
for more money .I know with trying to get your certification will take some money and some
patients. With the voucher code for the certification is not a bad price in my opinion. But
I’m pretty sure you can go any please to probably get it cheaper. Or some places have
programs where you can learn for free. I know with my job. Which is in the hospital field
,offer Programs as long as we keep it in-house. I wanted to get the CompTIA A+
certification right from the moment I got to know about it. Since I have a keen interest in
technology, I believe this industrial certification will help me to be better prepared to grasp
the evolving technological elements. This certificate would show my capability and
strengths as an IT professional to my employers. Apart from this, I would be empowered to
optimally adapt to the evolving technological landscape. I would be better prepared to
employ my technology-driven skills and knowledge in diverse areas such as cloud
technology, data management and many more .In order to make the most of the course and
certification, I would have to maintain a disciplined study plan. I would have to allocate a
few hours every week so that I could cover the learning areas. Moreover, I must also focus
on my personal responsibilities as well so that my learning would not hamper the
responsibilities that I have towards others. The discount code that has been provided on the
CBIT Central would also be very beneficial for me as I would be able to curtail my
expenditure on then course substantially. Having the CompTIA certification is an added
benefit for anyone trying to enter the IT field. It is a certificate that allows you to learn the
industry and basic knowledge needed when trying to acquire it. With the way that
technology is growing and the way it's taking over our everyday lives having a certificate
like this to help boost your knowledge and career is a benefit. I've always been a big
technology geek and have always had my hand in it somehow. So pursing a career in
something that I am so deeply attached to is amazing. My end goal is to finish my classes
and get my degree. After that I want to start off at a decent sized technology company and
work IT. After awhile of being employed and having my feet in the water I would like to
start my own business doing cyber security and IT needs for companies that are not large
enough to afford the services of the bigger more well named companies that offer the same
thing. I have actually looked into getting this certification before I even decided to go back
to school. When I was in the Army they tried to convince me to study and take the course
for certification me being young and not wise never did take it. Looking back that could
have helped my career in the Army and not to mention the civilian side of things. Even now
I still see the need in this certification and I do have much interest in getting it, if I can take
it for a fraction of the price even better. Getting this certification will be a great start to
setting yourself up in the IT world in fact getting proof that you are capable of doing what
you are writing down on your resume. I know of several companies that require you to get
this certification before even applying for a job with them. It will help me in my career
because I plan to learn as much as I can in this field to be able to achieve my goal in
becoming a cyber security specialist but for now I am starting small. I was working as a
helper in my local computer repair shop which is now no longer around due to covid so I
hope that this time next year I can be working on an apprenticeship with Dell. This will be
my 4th time applying but hopefully with a degree and certifications to put me over the top. I
want to learn as much as I can in this field and all aspects of it that was one of the main
thing that drew me to this field the constant changing growing and adapting and the
challenges that come with it. Having CompTIA A+ certification is a great start into
launching my IT career and I am glad that I chose this route because it provides me the skills
of solving technical problems and to become a go to person for basic and simple issues to
professional business needs. There are a wide range of well established companies and job
opportunites that are available within this field and this field I think will always have job
availabilty of some degreee. With everything becoming somehow technology based having
skills to understand and problem solve a profession that is on the rise and will have
longivity. I have always been interested in the way computers and devices work and how
they come together to provide information, services, games and etc that people need or enjoy
to have. I get to take apart and build devices and systems to help secure and ensure devices
are running smoothly and that security is up to date. I look forward to undertanding mobile
devices because just about everyone I know has a mobile device and knowing how to fix and
operate them is big business too. The CompTIA certification would be something i am
interested in getting. Having this certification would show potential employers that at the
very least i have the basic knowledge needed to do this job, and also show that i am
committed to the industry if i am investing in certifications. This would be a good starting
point for an employer to look at to weed out the candidates that are maybe not as serious
about this profession as a career and really find the person who is going to do anything and
everything to get better at their job, and who will do whatever it takes necessary to gain
meaningful employment. I will definitely be looking into doing this soon.For my study plan
i would need to be able to put aside a few extra hours at least each week to be able to focus
on that on top of all the other duties i have, work, school, family, etc. As long as i can do
that, i could definitely get the certification and the discount they have is very good to know
so that when i am ready i can use it. Having a CompTIA+ certification is definitely a great
certification to have. I say this because having this certification guarantees you a great salary
and plenty of opportunities in the IT world, so it can definitely open a lot of doors. Having
this certification says that you can do more than one job in IT, its really has a lot of great
benefits to it. I think that for me personally it will be a great certification to add to my
resume even though I plan to start my own private cyber security company which will aid

their information. As far as me reaching this goal I will have to continue to study extra hard,
make sure I stay focused and soak up as much information as I possibly can. I am going to
make sure I get as many certifications as I possibly can to ensure I have all the knowledge

The end goal is a cyber security job for me but there are a few different CompTIA
certifications that I am interested in getting that will help me along the way. Having this
certification among others will help me keep a job that is in high demand and possibly an
extremely valued/wanted position. It looks like the cost of this one specific course will be
$226.00. For me, I would need to keep a similar schedule/routine that I do now, during
school. I am currently "balancing" a full-time job, school, family life, personal time, with a
new baby on the way! This is why my scheduling has to run like clockwork. If I was
studying for an extra certification test along with these things, I would need to dedicate an
extra hour everyday to these extra studies. I think that not procrastinating anything and
hitting the studying everyday will keep me on a good path to understanding the certification
exams and and anything else school throws at me. he certification will help me alot when it
comes to my future in computer security and what career I ultimately want to go with! I
have decided that after I am finished with this degree, I am going to pursue my wanted
career of computer hardware engineering. This certificate will help me further my
knowledge of what I would need in order to set up. Given the chance to get the certificate
will give me the absolute best opportunity to proceed in accomplishing in IT organizations
which I think with this certificate it would help me reach those standards of the goals I have
planned in the near future of working in IT. How do use a tech support gave me a better
view of how to approach different strategies. One of the jobs I want to go for for achieving
this certificate is cyber security because I also think that breaking down the computers
security system and upgrading it is something that I found very interesting. Thankfully for
taking this the course it gave me an easy outlook of how to achieve in computer security.
This certification would help future employers know that I know the basics of Tech support
and would be able to fix/attend to these issues. Even if you plan on going farther in your
career to something such as programming or cyber security, you always want to have the
basics down. The more qualifications you have the more enticing you look to your
employers. When you have more to offer the better jobs you can get and of course better
pay. This certification would help me confirm that I know the information we covered in this
course and would enable me to feel confident in my ability to do these tasks. Its very
important in this industry that you can act quickly and fix a problem in a timely manner.
Lost time = lost revenue.I tend to work long early hours throughout the week so the best
time for me to study is when I get home after work. I want to set aside at least an hour after
work everyday to study/refresh my mind on the information. My days off I primarily work
on school/study. The certification will help me alot when it comes to my future in computer
science and what career I ultimately want to go with! I have decided that after I am finished
with this degree, I am going to pursue my wanted career of computer hardware engineering.
This certificate will help me further my knowledge of what I would need in order to set up
and program hardware with little to no issue. On top of that, there are other certificates that
I am going to seek out and obtain in order to further progress my overall knowledge of
technology and hopefully land a job that I would enjoy. Something possibly with Raytheon,
helping with the US Defense Department. Or something a little more relaxed such as
Microsoft, Sony, or any of the big name companies.
My study plan, is quite simple but allows me to keep on track and still allot myself the time
for everything else. On days that I have work I study for 2 hours without fail and then set
some time for my extra activities such as video games. On the days that I have off, I set
around four to five hours to do my studies and leave the rest of the day to do needs such as
cleaning. When looking in to the CompTIA A+ certification exam, I feel as though it is
worth it to get certified. When looking at this type of certification it is something that shows
that you have all of the basics down pat. Studying further for this will benefit me by
allowing me to learn more about the field overall. I hope to work in an I.T. support position
mostly focusing on the networking side of things and so for my career choice I think it will
be beneficial to have this on my resumé. I think also having these certs helps because it
makes you a more well rounded individual. This opens you up to so many more options and
opportunities. These also strengthen your understanding of the field of work. The way I will
use CBIT Central is to break it up throughout this year and hopefully have it completed by
the end of this year. The Discounts seem great and allows for more flexibility when getting
your A+ cert. Again this certification is something I think overall will support me and my
career path. Since I am new to IT. The certificate would help me be able to get my first IT
job. Like another classmate said. Over the years’ experience will out way a certificate. Just
starting without experience, the certificate will make it easier to hook a good starting job.
My study plan is to use my next few courses to help me get ready for the test. Also, will
study once a week using the CBTCentral site. To prepare me for the test that I will schedule
more towards the end of this year. I do believe that I have greatly increased my knowledge
of IT. never less, I am still a novice compared to other members of this class. At my work, I
am the assist IT. I fix whatever problems I can fix at my job site. If I am unable to fix it. our
company has its own IT department that will step in to fix what I can’t. One of them, I know
very well. He is the one who pushed me to take classes in it. since I showed great potential.
When I was able to outsmart our software specialist from San Francisco. Who was over 20
years’ experience in software management and design. This certification can help me get
any IT job. My goal is to eventually work for a large corporate company and hopefully
move my way up into the higher positions in the company. Overall, this certification can
help me with reaching my goals. As of right now, I believe I would need a couple years in
the field to really have a complete understanding of what I would be tested on. I know with
a couple years of experience in the field learning from veterans, I would be more than ready
to take a certification test. If I were to take this test right at the moment, my study plan
would consist of 2-4 hours of studying and taking key notes. Doing this 3-5 times a week
before my test would be necessary for me to be completely ready for my certification. This
certification would look really good on my resume for the future and I believe more
opportunities would come my way. The only reason why I wouldn't take this right now is
because lack of experience in the field. I became A+ certified over ten years ago. At that
time was still a required certificate to have in the IT field. I let it expire, the employer I had
that time didn’t care if I had it or not, I was hired into that role for the work experience I had
at other companies, and they were not concerned about. The same will be true for a lot of
you. It is a good cert to have when you are still young in your IT career. Once you reach the
five-plus year mark, certs start to mean less, and the work experience starts to speak louder
on your resume. The plan I used to get when I tested for my A+ was simple. Read the
official study guide no less than three-time and schedule my test for a date three months out.
This put pressure on me to study and a deadline to stay focused on. After the first time, I
read the official study guide. I took a practice test and then focused on the areas I was
lacking in, enabling me to address weaknesses. I passed on the first attempt. Back when I
took the exam, there were only study guides, videos, and boot camp weekend classes.
Having a course like this is an excellent resource for anyone that wants to take the A+ exam.
When I think of the Comptia career path my plans include getting certifications in A+,
Security, and Cloud. Information technology careers will require certifications and a college
degree to succeed. People want experience and knowledge for the many information
technology positions that are out there. I started my career working with contractors for a
couple of major corporations. Many employers that were seeking applicants didn’t look at
my application until I got certified with my A+.
Looking forward investing the $226.00 pays for itself, it’s never too much when it comes to
a career in Information Technology. Long nights studying for each class and weekly
participating will pay off sooner or later.
I’ve worked in this field for over ten years, and I would not have done it without A+
certification. I will take the test this month so everything can be fresh. I was afraid because
of how much it took me the first time. I pass it with great joy and I can't believe it expired.
When I get it again I will make sure it stays up to date and not expired it's a lot of work. I do
plan on pursuing this industry certification. I want to take the certification exam after I finish
all of my courses. I think it would be beneficial to earn my certificate for the field of work I
want to be in. I want to be in IT management. Employees look at certifications along with
your college degree. I feel that just the degree isn't enough. When I was an Internet Tech
Support Agent I had a certification from the Internet company I worked for. That proved that
I was a good candidate for the job. If you didn't get the certification you had to retake the
class and try again or you didn't get the job. I want to get the practice exam so I can practice
before I take the actual exam. I also want to study a little more before the exam. I want to
know as much as possible. I also feel that getting certified will help when I pursue my
bachelors and my masters degree. I think colleges will look at my certification as a plus if I
decide to go to a different college for higher education. I believe that having this industry
certification is critical in achieving my future goals. It benefits me by proving through
testing that I have learned proper methods and procedures. My plan is to move into IT
management, and know that that being certified is a way of showing skills, and also
motivation in the field of my choice. I think that someone without these certifications would
get passed over for opportunity where someone who is certified would at least be
considered. This class is the 2nd in my 2nd year, and I plan on at least having my A+
completed before the end of this academic year. Having CBIT Central, I think will help to
put this plan in action with practice, tips, and videos. This in addition to my normal
academic load it will assist in achieving the goals that I have set for myself. The study plan
that I have is to just continue on the path that I created when I first started school again.
Create small goals to help accomplish the larger ones, and continue to make new goals once
those are achieved. The discount voucher is going to be a great help to me since I switched
to a lesser paying job with reduced responsibility while I was focusing on my academics. I
have been working in customer service for years. I had tried to go to college previously, but
eventually dropped my classes after the death of my father. Part of the reason I returned to
college is due to the high level of anxiety directly caused by working in customer service. It
was a daily amount of stress to know that I was simply a cashier, the most challenging part
of my job was having patience, and every single day I would have a complete stranger
shouting me down. My goal is to never experience that again, and to have a job I can enjoy
doing without ever feeling belittled. I have attempted to get my foot in the door for entry-
level IT jobs, but when I explained I was still taking general courses (I believe I was in a
Nutrition course at the time), I had employers literally laughing on the phone. To this day,
I’m still confused since I’ve known people that worked for those same companies that had
begun with little-to-no experience but I’m not going to share my theories as to why they
didn’t hire me. Having this certification will allow me to finally begin my career in IT, and
receive a decent wage that will allow me to get my first apartment (in my late 20’s). I have
always been passionate about technology, and having a job where I can utilize my
experience and skills as well as work my way up to larger roles will give me a daily sense of
satisfaction.
My ultimate goal is to eventually achieve a Master’s degree in my field, and feel valuable in
the workforce. When I initially started at the University of Phoenix, I was overwhelmed
because I had began working on software developer courses and realized I should have
signed up for different courses. It was hard for me to pick up on methodologies such as
“Scrum” and “Waterfall”, thus I changed course. My goal is to learn code. Although I enjoy
working directly with hardware, especially recently since I’m going to attempt to install a
custom heatsink in my MacBook Air (which has a fan that’s literally just a placebo), I would
be much more valuable to employers if I know multiple coding languages and continue to
educate myself. I’d like to work on my resume one day and know that I no longer need to
list my customer service experience in detail. Part of my study plan includes going through
my previous courses and re-reading the material, which I’m already doing. Answering
multiple choice questions and simulations are different from actually being able to pull
terminology from memory and troubleshooting. I’d like to confirm I understand the material.
This course’s textbook and my previous course is filled with note about what would be
necessary for CompTIA, and I’ve taken note of each note. I've been creating my own
flashcards, but I've finally begun to use those available in MindTap. I've found them to be
convenient (except on my smartphone due to the website's unnecessarily cramped
navigation) and I will recommend others use it as well. CompTIA’s website has exam
preparation resources that I’m planning to utilize, such as CertMaster Learn for A+. I plan to
spare no expense to make sure I am prepared for CompTIA (though they do use Affirm for
monthly payments). All of the discount codes appear to expire at the end of the year.
Professor Sallee mentioned in his post that some students can buy an answer key and simply
study the answers. This may make sense to me more than the reader, but information has
layers, and one needs to understand each of them to understand the information they are
learning. I want to make sure I am prepared for job interviews, and I am prepared to start
working on Day 1 in my first IT job. Simply memorizing the answers for a test without
completely understanding what they mean may seem easy for some people, but I’d like to
understand the information I’m receiving. It’s necessary to understand the why, how, and
when. When I am ready, I simply need to follow the “CompTIA Student Registration
Instructions 2020”, including applying the discount code, to schedule my test. I do hope I am
prepared by that date so I can utilize those discount codes, and that I will be able to select a
location within a decent timeframe. I have to keep in mind that there’s still a pandemic so
these locations may change.
When thinking of why I would get a industry certification such as the Comptia A+ exam, I
found the major reason would be to prove my worth to the industry by testing my
knowledge. In order to pass through HR filters on applications you will need skills,
certification, or both, as I am knew to the industry I lack the skills necessary to find a decent
paying tech job and will likely need to prove my knowledge, learned in school, and apply it
to certifications that I can place on my resume for review and still expect to land a decent
entry-level career.

I have enjoyed this course, and am actually looking into taking my certification. The benefits
of having the certification are good for a career in the IT field, and are valid for life. With
this course being aligned with the CompTIA A+ certification, it shows much of what
technology has evolved in business and the hardware that has changed. It is nice to follow
and see that the process of setting up networks, and connecting devices is still the same
although the speeds in which the data is sent and received is much faster. I feel that this
course is a great way to study and learn for the certification process, and having the
CompTIA A+ would be a highly recommended certification for a resume. I am hoping to
start a career in the IT field, I know that much of that is deciding what specifically what you
want to work with. I have a brother who worked with a help desk for a few years, and now
is working with software development, and he has always said that he is much more
passionate in development than he was about working in a help desk. This course has helped
me get a feel for the field and is helping to steer me in the direction of IT work I would want
to pursue. Pursuing this certification even after being hired at an entry level position would
provide the opportunity for new positions at a company. The fact we are learning this now is
so coincidental. Obtaining this certification will help prove my base line skills to work in IT
in an IoT device hardware/software environment. After this course i plan to review my exam
prep materials to stay refreshed and purchase the exam within 30 days from today. I will
leave my Mondays and weekends to exam prep for this certification. The discount voucher
helps a lot with the initial cost of the exam even though the company i would be reimbursing
the costs of these exams. However; I want to succeed the first time so i plan to dedicate a
month worth of my weekends and free time to obtaining this certification. Earning a degree,
certificate or some type of proof that illustrates that not only did you have the patience to
learn but to also comprehend the particular subject. If you have a home in Texas where it is
hot with the degrees reaching above 100; you would want someone who is certified to repair
your air-condition. This doesn’t mean the person with the ac certification wouldn’t do a
better job sometimes these people have more to prove. However you want feel like you are
giving your money to someone who guarantee their work; the certification helps guarantee
the work itself. Another example of guaranteeing your knowledge; my husband brought me
an Audi Q5 and I love my car. I take my car to the dealership for all the maintenance
including the oil change; my husband teases me about over paying and being haggled by the
salesperson to get into a new car, and paying $200.00 for an oil change. I can take my car to
foreign auto repair for a oil change and I can take my car to a jiffy lube for an oil change. I
take my car to the audi dealership because they are certified in audi cars and they are
certified in audi car oil change and maintenance. When I obtain my previous certificate it
was for a couple of reasons; one being more money on my pay check and two because I
wanted to be able to ask for more money. I currently have a certification six sigma and
business analyst; I obtained these certifications while I was a technical support call center
manager. I earn more money, less stress, and more job opportunities with those certificate
than I did as a manager. Earning a CompTIA certification will move my career right into the
direction I need; a competitive career in IT projects. a
