Instructions: You have been tasked with developing a comprehensive cybersecurity plan for a
smart retail environment that incorporates Internet of Things (IoT) devices, digital payment
systems, and customer engagement platforms. Write a seven to nine-page paper addressing
the following questions:
1. Identify and analyze security challenges specific to smart retail environments. Discuss
potential threats, vulnerabilities, and the impact of security breaches on customer trust
and business operations.
2. Propose security measures for digital payment systems within the retail environment.
Discuss encryption, secure transaction processing, and measures to prevent payment
fraud and unauthorized access.
3. Assess the security of IoT devices used for customer interaction, such as smart kiosks
and beacons. Recommend strategies for securing customer data, ensuring device
integrity, and preventing unauthorized access.
4. Develop a cybersecurity training program for retail employees. Discuss the role of
employee awareness in preventing cybersecurity incidents, recognizing social
engineering attacks, and safeguarding customer information.
5. Develop an incident response plan for potential cybersecurity incidents in the retail
environment. Discuss communication strategies with customers, law enforcement, and
steps to minimize the impact of incidents on business operations.
