Some of the key issues when configuring software as a service is the SAAS platform uses the internet
to manufacture applications. Most companies use this model because it doesn't require any
downloads or installations on the client side (bmc, 2021). This model also helps by cutting down time
on other properties such as software upgrades and micromanaging systems. Some examples of the
Software as a service model platform are google workspace, Cisco, Webex, Concur, Go To Meeting,
salesforce, and Dropbox just to name a few. Since the software as a service platform is managed by
a third-party vendor, the platform is subject to cyber-attacks, unplanned maintenance, or network
issues. This is also goes for planned maintenance as well. These issues can be viewed as
limitations which is the trade-off when having a platform that uses internet to manufacture
applications. Customers may therefore have to redefine their data and governance to fit their needs
(bmc, 2021).
