Network can be viewed as a Physical and logical topology. physical topology is
basically hardware in a network that is tied together. Some wired topologies would
be star, point to point, bus, ring, and mesh. point to point would be computers tha are
hardwired together though a one cable. bus is where the computers are connected
together on a network by a cable called the backbone. Cheaper than the others to
put together. one thing to understand about this topology is that if the main computer
goes down then the others will too. Ring is a bit different in the since that the
computers are only connected in a loop. in this topology if any of the. devices go
down then all of them are affected.
with all-star devices they are connected to acenter point like a on off switch. If any of
the devices are hit then the other ones will still be fuctional. Mesh topology connects
every computer to one another.
