BUS TOPOLOGOY
Think of a straight line. Bus Topology is a network topology that utilizes a single
communication line for data transmission. This type of network topology would be
found in the early days of Information technology. Ease of setup, simplicity and low
cost are all advantages of a bus topology. The disadvantages of bus topology are
collisions, problem identification, network issues will take down entire line, and each
device will receive a signal that comes thru.
POINT TO POINT
Point to Point technology is basically hooking devices together. Very easy to
maintain, the point-to-point technology is not the best solution for larger networks.
The network performance is defined by the links between the systems and this type
of network is not expandable into a larger area.
