The lab that I acquired additional knowledge from was the chapter 3 lab, 3.1.1 Conducting
Vulnerability Scanning Using Nessus.Completing Lab 3.1.1 Conducting
Vulnerability Scanning Using Nessus, demonstrated the important of scanning your system
and networks.$ Vulnerabilities are displayed, which allow the company to correct those
threats.$ Nessus also allows you to schedule your scans and run them as needed.$ I
occasionally have to patch, and I usually do an ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment
Solution) scan on my workstations to ensure that the vulnerabilities have been addressed.

securing your network. The knowledge of network security is important.$ Learning how to
perform this kind can also teach you how to prevent it.$ A mitigation approach to these
attacks are firewall filtering.$ I did enhance my knowledge in reference to DOS Attack with
SYN Flood but I do not see myself applying this information to my current job.$ Despite the
fact that I hold my ethical hacker certification, I have yet to use it.$ As a result, this lab was
the least useful at the time.
