The lab that I found to be the most informative was from week 6. Finding
the Host Name of a Machine completed in Lab 5.3.10.
This command will display what the computer or device is called while
connected to a network. The command “hostname” can be
used at the command prompt or ipconfig /all. I can see myself using this in
my previous role as a Tier 2 representative with Verizon Wireless. This
would have been helpful with troubleshooting.-
The lab that I found to be the least informative was from week 2. In Lab
3.6.2, Configuring a Virtual Private Network showed the importance of
having and creating a safer network. The instructions to mask an IP
address or encrypt the network connection brought together knowledge of
other important elements. Creating a VPN allows internet activity to be
hidden. The steps were very simple and I wished it would have gone into
another step with creating a VPN. Showing how a possible attack can be
avoided because the location would be invisible.-
