Invent a manufacturing company with multiple production facilities worldwide.
Describe the organization's primary manufacturing processes, supply chain dependencies, and
potential threats, such as equipment failures, supply chain disruptions, and environmental
disasters.
Write a 10-15 page paper outlining the reasons why contingency planning is crucial for
manufacturing organizations and how it can improve operational resilience.
1. Develop a contingency plan for the manufacturing company, including BIA, IRP, DRP,
and BCP aspects.
2. Detail policies and procedures for inventory management, production continuity, and
supplier relationships.
3. Explain the processes for implementing and maintaining the contingency plan, including
regular drills and audits.
4. Create a hypothetical scenario involving a major equipment failure and explain how the
contingency plan addresses it, including recovery timelines.
5. Discuss ethical concerns related to environmental impact and worker safety in the context
of contingency planning.
