COURSE GUIDE: ACC556: Financial Accounting for Managers
Understanding Capital Raising Options for Digital Companies
It takes funding and having the proper systems in place to develop and grow your startup. This course
will discuss methods to raise capital for your business and methods to track your business transactions.
Topics covered include accounting basics, business setup, recording sales and expenses, identifying key
players, bootstrapping, commercial lending, venture capitalists, loans and more. Finally, we’ll discuss the
importance of developing a solid business plan and you’ll even create one too.
COURSE DELIVERY
This course will be delivered primarily on Facebook. Upon enrollment, your professor will invite you to
join the Facebook Course Group associated with this course. You will nee to use the Facebook app to d
access this course on your mobile device. If you don’t already have it, find the steps to download the
Facebook Mobile App here: https://www.facebook.com/mobile.
There will also be a corresponding Black Board course shell which you will utilize to check your Grades,
Submit Assignments 1, 2 and 3 and complete your weekly High Growth Thinking exercises via the
Blackboard Student App on your phone or the Blackboard course shell on your computer. Find the steps

Your professor will also post links in Facebook to take you directly to these items in the Blackboard
Course via the BB Student App (be sure that you’re signed into Blackboard before clicking on them or
