In general, there are acknowledged risks associated with outsourcing global supply
chains, ranging from supplier risk and stability difficulties to product or supply
quality issues, as well as dangers to the company's reputation. Increased value
production, lower operating expenses, and better flexibility, scalability, and
strategic positioning are just a few of the prominent benefits.
Many thriving businesses outsource their jobs. Google, and Microsoft are just a few
examples. The reason for this is that there are various advantages to doing so,
including saving money and time, having more staffing flexibility, enhancing
innovation, having more control over internal resources, and having access to a
wider range of talent. Google is an excellent example of a well-known, successful
corporation that benefits from outsourcing. Despite having a large number of in-
house workers, they also employ a large number of contractors. Google has access
to a pool of talent and knowledge that they don't have in-house through hiring
temps, suppliers, and contractors. It also allows them to provide more flexibility
and time-off incentives to their other workers. This helps to create value for their
workers, who benefit from a better work-life balance and more flexible hours as a
result of the larger international pool of suppliers and contractors on which they
can rely.
Although Google is large and has plenty of resources, they recognized that by
outsourcing certain development work, email, and phone support, they will have
access to a global pool of talent, which will help them solve in-house capacity
issues, improve service quality, and lower overall costs and generate more overall
value for Google than they would otherwise.
