Introduction: Describe the purpose of your memo and the plan to address the scenario in 1 to 3
sentences.
This memo was written with the intention of eliciting sympathy from a variety of
audiences in order to solicit donations. Empathy is the capacity to comprehend the
feelings of others. If we can determine what motivates our donors to feel these ways,
we will be able to raise more money.
