[In Jasmine's situation, it is vitally important to apply Piaget's concept of perspective taking
because without analyzing the situation through all perspectives, we are unable to see the
whole picture. Instead we are only able to see a small piece of the situation. In order for us to be
able to accurately advise Jasmine in regards to her situation, the whole picture must be analyzed
and not just a portion. By seeing Jasmine's situation from her point of view, I would have a
better understanding as to why she may feel a certain way about different aspects of her
situation and more accurately discuss reasons for or against different actions in regards to
advocating for herself. Having this conversation with Jasmine may then open her up to feel
more comfortable to advocate for herself.]
