I've decided to support Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, a congresswoman from New York's
14th region. She started serving as a lawmaker in 2019. Queens County and Bronx County are
separated by the NY-14. District 14 has a population of 696,664 and an area of 28.5 sq
kilometers. 51% men and 49% women make up the median age of 37.8%. Counties contain 50%
Hispanics, 18% Asian, 22% White, 8% Black, and 3% Other. The typical family income is
$66,749, with a per capita income of $30,468 on average. 12.9% of people in the county live in
poverty, which is around the same percentage as in New York. There are 2.8 people living in
each family. 55% of people are single compared to 45% of husband and wife. 7.7% more people
have migrated geographically since last year. The neighborhood is surrounded by several racial
backgrounds, therefore several regional accents are being said there, although 68% of people
speak tongues besides English.
From her time in the neighborhood, AOC was very active. Her main attention is on the
working-class population. She was from a working class background after all. AOC has a greater
edge in her presidential bid due to the large Spanish community and the fact that she is of
Hispanic descent. Moreover, she supports formal state schools, Medicare for Everyone, property
as a Basic Freedom, emigration, and Obamacare for All.
