MBA 699 Strategic Opportunity Management

I work as the vice president of business development for a life sciences company with
headquarters in the Midwest. Since 1999, our company has seen continuous development and
prosperity, however the owners have decided it is time to sell. I have been invited to join the
strategic planning team in order to evaluate the organization's exit strategy and provide the board
of directors with recommendations. In order to assess my personal preparation for change and
how these contribute to my acceptance or resistance to it, I have addressed the strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) listed beneath. When used in a transformation
project, SWOT analysis enables us to participate in the development of strategies that will get
you from where you are now to where you want to be (Williams, n.d.). I will be able to
thoroughly convey all of my own preferences and areas that might be improved thanks to this
study, which will help us make the best decisions for the business.
Problem-solving and a willingness to adjust are two of the qualities mentioned. My
