Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, you will meet these learning objectives:
Recognize the factors that shape the conditions for
employee engagement
Recognize the reasons for employee attrition
Describe the factors that facilitate employee engagement
Module Overview
In the previous modules, you learned about PESTLE factors that affect
change requirements in an organization and the importance of
stakeholders in change management. In this module, you will learn
about the importance of employee engagement. You will explore how
employees can be separated into four groups (highly engaged,
moderately engaged, barely engaged, and disengaged) based on how
they perceive their workplace.
The resources in this module will also help you understand the
concepts of employee engagement, commitment, attrition, and
employee disengagement. As you continue fulfilling the tasks expected
of your role as an HR consultant, you will explore various aspects of
employee engagement. You will examine employer practices,
employee engagement, and workforce surveys. You will have the
opportunity to analyze organizational communication, work-life
balance, and leadership styles. You will also investigate employee
behavioral changes that may indicate attrition in an organization.
At the end of this module, an unanticipated change in the scenario will
require you as an HR consultant to emphasize the significance of
employee engagement and present strategies to improve employee
engagement. You will submit a presentation on employee engagement.
Finally, in the video check-in, you will discuss the change management
plan for Milestone Two with your instructor.
