This report is to provide useful communication regarding the Sociological and Technological
aspects and their impression on organizational transformation. Executing a PESTLE evaluation
is helpful to guarantee the alterations will be effective. A PESTLE analysis studies the key
external factors (Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legal and Environmental)
that influence an organization. It can be used in a range of different scenarios and can guide
people, professionals and senior managers in strategic decision making (CIPD, 2023).
Social Factors
Socially the workplace can be astonishingly diverse, specifically whilst far eastern and
western cultures are a part of the same organization. Singapore has one of the best working
settings in the world and it can prove to be a difficult task having to combine eastern and
western cultures in the same association. The social factors that can substantially impact the
adjustment to the requirements of the U.S. group's labor force are leisure, profession, and
approach concerning work. An optimistic attitude in the workplace encourages adjustment,
however, in the U.S unit there is an elevated turnover rate of 28.8%and a new hire fail rate
of 46% in the first 12 months. This indicates that the culture of the association is in weak
shape and the views about work must alter so the company can expand.
The workers are not profession oriented for serval reasons. The first is because of
absence of company moral, secondly, the absence of opportunity for career growth and thirdly,
deprived management and lack of communication. These are all attributes to the inadequate
culture that leads to the possible reasons for the high turnover rate.
How will these social factors influence change readiness in the workforce?
These issues will have a damaging impact on the company’s readiness for change.
Change readiness cannot occur till the culture of the U.S. unit transform for the better. The
actions and guidelines should be modified to adapt to alteration to management, and this can
only be achieved at the senior manager stage. A data presentation using visual charts and graphs
showing the demographic ranges of years on the job, years of service with the branch, years
of service by age, percentage of employees by age groups, percentage of employees by
gender identity, and race / ethnic identification.
How Technological Factors Influence the Change Requirements
A technological factor in the U.S. unit is the IT department. Allowing the Singapore
division to govern the IT department at the U.S. branch will be difficult. Enhancements need to
be done for the U.S. unit to be able to flourish and to be effective these improvements are
important to the structure of the corporation. These advancements will heighten production,
increase communication with customers and yield possible new customers. Making
improvements in software and in additional areas such as email, social media, and the
company website will enhance the reach of the company. This extends more open
communication alternatives, expanding the business potential and providing major
effectiveness, improved security, and decrease the possibility of the data being taken or
compromised. Language can be a massive obstacle while communicating a technical concern
and this is an imminent problem with the IT department being offshore. Including visuals for
IT ticket managers is a superb approach to showing the average per capita number of IT
service tickets per month, number of repetitions on all tickets and closed ticket satisfaction
survey results. Expanding training will decrease turnover and this will stimulate solidity in
the company. The influence of technology is elevated and with no technological transformations’
innovation is not possible. The new tech must be incorporated and executed in a 6-12-month
interval along with new training techniques. Using the visualization of charts and graphs to
display how innovative technology has increased the company’s morale and lowered the
turnover rate. Additionally, establishing more technology like video conferencing and rapid
messaging will enhance communication and strengthen readiness in the labor force.
